Why hello there!

I'm Zoë

My work centers around themes of childhood nostalgia, shared collective memory, gender performance, religion, and social critique. my art is influenced by my own experiences of childhood and gender-based violence. both the cirque and performance were integral to my artistic coming-of-age and continue to inform my work in a more nuanced way. through the lens of illustrated performance i attempt to poke, prod, and question the interconnection between gender, feminism, identity, and dissenting spirituality from within a monolithic culture. bringing these questions into the realm of art allows room to play with these fundamental concepts and also infuse topics that are often loaded with anger and confrontation with whimsy.

Just some fun feminist art, you know.
